Cynthia Carter Dubrow is Gulf Coast through and through. Though her journey once took her across the country, Biloxi is where she chose to plant her roots, raise her children, and build a life centered on faith, family, and community. Growing up in the South instilled in her a strong sense of integrity, compassion, and connection - values that continue to guide her both personally and in the way she practices law today.
Law is in Cynthia’s DNA. The daughter of a respected divorce attorney, she grew up seeing firsthand the difference a strong, compassionate advocate can make. Before stepping into her mother’s world, Cynthia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of West Florida and built a successful career in that field. In 2002, she shifted gears, trading boardrooms for classrooms, teaching 6th grade English and reading until 2008 - when the call to the law became too strong to ignore.
Cynthia graduated from Loyola Law School in 2012, earning a specialty certification in International Law. Since then, she’s fought for clients in criminal defense, family law, and foreclosure defense. Today, her practice centers on the work closest to her heart - family law - including divorce, custody, child support, guardianships, paternity, adoption, and termination of parental rights. She also represents clients in youth court matters and criminal defense. As a certified Guardian Ad Litem, she’s trusted by the courts to protect the best interests of children in even the toughest situations.
When she’s not in the courtroom, Cynthia is deeply rooted in her community and family life. She’s the proud mother of two adult children - a son and a daughter - and a young son who keeps her on her toes. Cynthia is in a loving relationship and treasures time spent with her family above all else. She’s also a wonderful friend, known for her warmth, loyalty, and genuine care for others. Faith and service remain cornerstones of her life, and she and her family are active members of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
For Cynthia, being a lawyer isn’t just a profession - it’s a calling. Whether she’s standing before a judge or sitting across the table from a client, she brings grit, compassion, and a fierce dedication to protecting the people who trust her with their most important matters.
At the end of the day, Cynthia believes in doing right by people - plain and simple. She’s as steady as a Gulf Coast sunrise and just as genuine. Around here, folks know that if Cynthia’s on your side, you’ve got someone who’ll fight hard and never forget her roots. She may trade her heels for flip-flops when the workday’s done, but her heart for helping others never clocks out.
